Yesterday I had a stall at Cuckfield Bonfire night. There were actually only 5 stalls there, and all of them were really big so I was a bit worried I'd be buried under all the burgers, hog roast and glow sticks! However, LOADS of people came to the night so it was a huge success! I was selling homemade cookies and salted caramels. My mum worked really hard in the morning making all of the cookies and I worked for the 5 days leading up to make all the salted caramels (it took so LONG, but luckily I got the hang of it and so only burnt one batch!) I put some of my salted caramels in nice bags, and they were very popular! All of them went quite quickly, so that was already a good £35 in the bag! The individual ones I had out didn't go so quickly, but all seemed to be gone by the end off the night (partially due to the fact that my mum and dad were enjoying them a bit too much...!) The cookies were also really popular, and we managed to sell them all as well! Overall, we made £118, which is one of the most I have ever made at an event, and so am really pleased about.

Almost ready to go! I leave tomorrow morning at 2 am and have spent the day packing and preparing all my things! Just wanted to thank you all for your amazing support and for following my updates. Your support has meant so much and I look forward to telling you all about it when I get back!
All the best, Elise A big thank you to Hilary from May Gardens who made a really kind donation towards my trip. Like I said before, it is people like this who overall make the biggest difference to helping me get to Peru, no matter how big or small the donation. Thanks so much Hilary!
www.hilarymaygardens.co.uk As you may have seen, I have been doing lots of car boot sales recently, but none have made as much as the tombola I did a couple of months ago. Therefore, I would like to do another tombola again soon. However, I used up all of my prizes at the last one, so I would REALLY appreciate it if anyone had any fairly new things (basically anything that has a tag) that they could donate to my tombola. ANYTHING would work - from piles of kids forgotten teddies to unwanted gifts of bath products, someone always wants them! Any of the stuff not suitable for the tombola can go in my car boot sale too, so PLEASE rifle through your overfilled cupboards and give me anything you don't need anymore - EVERYTHING is suitable! If you think you can help me, please contact me using the contact form on this website, and I should be able to pick up any of your items from you.
Thank you! Would like to say a big thank you to Fiona from Cuckfield Interiors, who has donated £25 to my Peru trip as a gesture of good will. It is thoughtful people like her who make the biggest difference, no matter how big or small the donation. So if you ever need any ideas, inspiration or solutions for your interior design, I would definitely recommend going to Cuckfield Interiors! www.cuckfieldinteriors.co.uk
Today I did a table top sale at my church. It was run by the Mayflower playgroup fundraising committee, and they let me have a stall there. It was really good because I had lots of chats with people about my trip and what I was doing and managed to get a couple of extra donations because of it. I also managed to get some good publicity for my companies with my banner and t shirt, and a few of the people I chatted to were really interested in which companies had been generous enough to sponsor me.
As it's summer and my fundraising events aren't organised for another month or so, I have come up with a really good new way to fundraise. I am wanting to start doing odd jobs for anyone who lives in the Cuckfield/Haywards Heath area for a small amount of money. This may include car washing, dog walking, gardening, sweeping, tidying, forms of cleaning etc. I really enjoy doing all of these things, so it will be a great way to fundraise. Please spread the word, and anyone who wants anything done can contact me on the contact form on this website. Thanks!
