I'm back! I had an AMAZING time and couldn't have done it without the incredible support of my sponsors, and everyone else who has been following my progress and supporting me along the way. I have attached my final report, which includes a very detailed (and rather lengthy!) account of what I did throughout the 4 weeks I was away. Hope you enjoy it and feel free to ask any questions or extra information if you would like. All the best, Elise PS. I have made a new gallery page on my website with lots more pictures of my trip on it. Please feel free to take a look and hope you enjoy!

Almost ready to go! I leave tomorrow morning at 2am and have spent the day packing and preparing all my things. Just wanted to thank you all for your amazing support and for following my updates. I look forward to telling you all about it and sharing my experiences when I get back.
All the best Elise So although I have managed to raise all the money for my trip, I still need to raise lots for all my kit. Today, I did a car boot sale, which was held by the rotary. I managed to get rid of the rest of my car boot stuff (with a little help from the charity shops!) and raised £52 (which I have already managed to spend!). I will be doing one more event (a tombola) next month, then hopefully that will be enough money for me to get the rest of what I need. As ever, if you have any fundraising tips (or need any!), they would be much appreciated. I have come a long way, but can't relax yet as its less than 2 months until I go and I need all my kit before then! Please get in contact via my contact form if you're feeling generous, and thank you so much for taking a look at my website, your support means the world to me.
On May bank holiday I did a silent auction at the Cuckoo Fayre in Cuckfield. I got some really generous donations from a range of different companies, and overall managed to raise £425! Definitely my most successful event so far!
I wouldn't have been able to do it without any of these amazing companies: The Llama Park, Toby & Fly, FunAbounds, Godstone Farm, Brighton Kitchen company, Brighton Bathroom company, Fairfax, Corner House cafe, AL Nails, Votre Belle Maison, Poppy's parties, The Window Shutter company, Pruden & Smith, Wigglebums, Made and Making, Spread Eagle hotel & spa, Park House hotel & spa, Bailiffscourt hotel & spa I have now officially raised my full £4500, and am all set to go on my trip on 20th July. I will let you know how it goes when I get back! A MASSIVE MASSIVE thank you to Richard McQuillan (McQuillan Signs & Graphics) who has made these amazing t-shirts for me with all my sponsors on. I will be able to wear these t-shirts during my trip, and due to the excellent quality fairly often! Each t-shirt has half the logos on the front and half on the back. The ones on the back for the first one are on the front for the second one and vice versa. It is due to the amazing generosity of Richard and all my other sponsors that I have been able to get this far on my journey, so a massive thank you to all of them as well. I look forward to sporting my new t-shirts at my last few fundraisers and during my trip!
I am holding a stall at the Cuckoo Fayre this year on May 7th. As you can see from my previous post, I am still very much in need of prizes. The way it works is I will put the prize on a table, along with a sheet where people can write their bids. I will also put the logo of the company who kindly donated it in plain view so they know who has been helping me, so this will get them some publicity too.
I would like to say a massive thank you to the companies I have already received some kind donations from: Fairfax, Cuckfield Corner House, AL Nails, Toby & Fly, FunAbounds, Godstone Farm, The Llama park, Brighton Kitchen & Bathroom Company, Votre Belle Maison, The Window Shutter Company and Poppy's Parties. The prizes can be anything like a vouchers, gift cards, sessions, treatments etc., or something like a hamper or alcohol (or anything else you think may work). Any help would be really appreciated. If you feel you could help please contact me on the contact form on this website. If you are unable to donate a prize, you can still help! Please, spread the word and come to the Cuckoo Fayre - I'll need as much support as I can get! Many thanks, Elise Thanks to another generous company who has donated a piece of kit for Peru. Life Systems have given me a free bottle of EX4 Permethrin Clothing Treatment. This is a great clothing spray which provides long lasting and durable protection from mosquitos. It can be sprayed on clothing, rucksacks and any other material, and is a really good way of keeping extra safe when at lower levels. For more information see below:
https://www.lifesystems.co.uk/products/insect-repellents/ex4-anti-mosquito-spray As my last fundraising push I am planning on doing a silent auction. I know these have made huge successes for some of the others going on the trip, so I'm hoping it will earn me my biggest amount yet.
I am planning on holding it at the cuckoo fair later this Spring, however to do this I URGENTLY need prizes to auction off. These can be anything from restaurant vouchers, gift cards, HAMPERS, wine etc. (One of my friends did one with an Ockenden Manor spa voucher the company kindly given them, and it got them over £200!) I'm hoping to get things more like these that are things to pay for, as opposed to things to win like raffle prizes, however any help would be really appreciated, no matter how small or big, and if I get enough I may even be able to do a raffle alongside it! If anyone knows any companies that might be able to help me, I would really appreciate it, or even better if you think you can help! If you are looking at this as someone I have emailed to request sponsorship off of (but don't think you'll be able to sponsor me), if you think you may be able to donate ideas/prizes instead I would be more than grateful. Please contact me on the form on this website if you think you may be able to help. Thanks! Recently I was lucky enough to be invited to a radio interview with Connections Radio. Each bottle contains a filter which takes out 99.9% of bacteria, viruses etc. WaterToGo works on some amazing projects around the world, if you'd like to have a look, head on over to:
